Fighting the Feminism
This paper is entitled “Fighting the Feminism”. This paper is a feminist critique on the novel Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk. I chose to do a feminist critique because while I enjoyed the novel it had a serious lack of female representation and agency, and it also put masculinity on a pedestal. The critique was researched based, but also I wrote from my own personal feminist perspective. This is a paper I wrote for an American literature survey course that is a major requirement.
Daughter Failure
This was an essay written in the style of the book Gender Failure by Rae Spoon and Ivan Coyote. The idea was to find a category in which I felt I had “failed” at fulfilling before. I chose daughter failure because while personal writing is not something I am always comfortable with, I think sometimes the challenge is one I don’t often offer myself in my writing and I believe I should learn how to be self-reflexive. This essay was done for the Advanced Seminar course Textual Bodies.
Homosexuality in Sodom and Gomorrah
This is a research paper done on homosexuality in the Bible, specifically in the story of Sodom and Gomorrah. The goal of this paper was to take a bible story or theme and either back or argue a common interpretation of it using research to back up the claim. I chose to use my paper to prove that it is not valid to use the story of Sodom and Gomorrah as an argument against homosexuality. This paper was done for the Bible as Literature course.
Infographic
This is an infograpic presenting information and data on writing I have done at DU so far. While I am only a second year and have limited work and data to display this inforgraphic put the amount of work and time I put into writing in perspective for me and I was actually pretty surprised with some of the information myself. This assignment was done for the Writing Design and Circulation course.
